64-68 - Burke good, bats bad as Rangers drop series with 2-0 loss to White Sox

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports The Rangers managed a measly single base hit in today’s finale loss The Texas Rangers had one hit today. And they scored zero runs. And they lost the series to the White Sox. A sixth inning single by Shin-Soo Choo was the only thing keeping the Rangers from ultimate embarrassment. That’s pretty much the gist. Smell ya later, Players’ Weekend. Player of the Game: Brock Burke didn’t seem quite as sharp — especially early on today — as he was in his debut back in Arlington but the young lefty had arguably better results as he went six innings and...

Report Card – San Jose Earthquakes v. Maxime Crepeau

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports There was a match played, records were set, and apparently there were even 22 players on the pitch throughout it. We’ll take a minute to review how the 14 that represented the Whitecaps performed in Saturday night’s 3-1 loss. The first half hour was reminiscent of other performances this rendition of the Vancouver Whitecaps has provided. The game was close, at least on the score line. Through Jake Nerwinski the Whitecaps even enjoyed a lead - albeit one that lasted for less than 60 full seconds as Judson leveled the scores with his first goal of the...

Phillies need to find a bridge to Bohm

The Phillies can’t rely on their top prospect being ready to breakout next year.
