Carmelo Anthony won't second-guess decision not to sign with Bulls

Patriots preparing for Percy Harvin

Patriots preparing for Percy Harvin

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Despite the disparity in their records, the New York Jets are always a good bet to play the New England Patriots tough. The Jets' addition of dynamic wide receiver and kick returner Percy Harvin figures to make things even tougher Sunday for the Patriots. Two days after the Patriots narrowly defeated the Jets 27-25 in Week 7, the Jets landed Harvin via a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. Since, Harvin has served as the team's primary kickoff returner while also adding a versatile element to their offense.

Week 15 Grades: Chargers Spit the Bit

The Chargers waste another solid defensive outing against an AFC contender, and now find themselves on Playoff Life Support, needing help over the last 2 weeks to make a 2nd straight playoff appearance. Quarterback: F For the 2nd straight week, the Chargers needed Philip Rivers to play big. For the 2nd straight week, he may have had the worst game of anyone on the team. Rivers finished with 24 completions on 41 attempts (58.5%) for 232 yards (5.65 YPA), with 1 TD pass and a pair of terrible interceptions, which crushed any possibility of a late comeback. For the 2nd straight week, Rivers...

Robert Griffin III triggered alarm bells among fans and Coach Jay Gruden when he didn’t get up, remaining motionless on FedEx Field, for a full six seconds after being sacked a sixth time in Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants. Giants close to re-signing Sergio Romo

Giants close to re-signing Sergio Romo

One of the best relievers in Giants history is reportedly returning. Sergio Romo is coming back. Ken Rosenthal is reporting the Giants have agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal with the right-handed reliever. Of all the moves the Giants were supposed to have made this offseason, this is the one I wasn't expecting at all. If my calculator watch is right, this means Romo will get an average annual salary of $7.5 million -- definitely on the pricey side for a setup man. The total contract value is lower than players like Andrew Miller and David Robertson received, but the average salary is...

DeMarco Murray's fumbles have stopped

IRVING, Texas -- DeMarco Murray's five lost fumbles are the most in the NFL this season among non-quarterbacks. On Monday he had surgery to repair a broken left hand, leading to obvious ball security questions. While there is confidence that he could be able to play through the injury Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, the Cowboys have to be sure Murray can "handle the ball under duress," as Jason Garrett said on Monday. Since Week 6, Murray has not fumbled in his last 221 rushing attempts, which is the longest streak on carries in the league, according to ESPN Stats & Information.
