Not only that, he is just a lot more exciting than Yao Ming ever was. If you have seen any Lin highlights, you can just listen to the crowd ooh and aah everytime he touches the ball. With every incredible pass he makes, or ridiculouly contorted layup, he is just a lot more fun to watch than the goofy Yao Ming.  And for young fans, his skills are much more relatable to the average Asian playing pick up hoops with his buddies. And for those reasons, Jeremy Lin will have a greater impact on an entire generation of young Asian fans than Yao Ming ever did.

Now this was a trade that all three teams involved seemed to be very happy with. And yes there is a conflict of interest because the NBA currently owns the Hornets, and Stern has some vested interest in keeping Paul on the Hornets.  But if he is going to block Paul from going to the Lakers, will he let him go anywhere? I mean if his stance is he doesn’t want small market teams losing their star players to big market teams, where can Paul go?

And coming off the fiasco that was the NBA lockout, Stern is already on thin ice. And now this, which in my eyes is the final straw. Stern must go, because he has clearly lost touch with reality. Him blocking the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers is absolutely ridiculous, and Stern should resign immediately.

This was no different today when Gilbert got wind of the trade that would have sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers, and sent an email to Commissioner David Stern, which Yahoo! Sports eventually leaked and now has everyone talking about owners colluding.

So I decided to pay a visit to D-Gib’s wikipedia page and sure enough, it was hacked. And because this will be probably be taken down very soon, here is a screenshot of what it reads right now, Thursday, 11:00pm pacific time.

My guess is this was either hacked by an angry Laker fan, a diehard LeBron fan, or an annoyed David Stern.
