COLUMBUS: One of Ohio State’s most famous football stars sued the university Friday over a marketing program he says used athletes’ images without permission and robbed them of compensation.Linebacker Chris Spielman filed the antitrust lawsuit in federal court in Columbus on behalf of current and former Ohio State football players.The complaint targets Ohio State marketing programs and contracts that promote the university using likenesses of athletes, including a Honda-sponsored program of 64 banners hung around Ohio Stadium featuring photos of former players.In addition to Spielman,...

On Tuesday, the Rimington Award watch list was released and senior Billy Price was listed as a candidate for the trophy given to college football's best center. For the Maxwell Award -- given to college football's best player -- two Buckeyes were put on the watch list: sophomore running back Mike Weber and senior quarterback J.T. Barrett. Highly touted basketball recruit follows Holtmann to Ohio State

COLUMBUS >> New Ohio State basketball coach Chris Holtmann has persuaded a top prospect to follow him from Butler to the Buckeyes.The school said Monday that 6-foot-8 forward Kyle Young has signed to play for the Buckeyes next season. Young, a three-time Associated Press All-Ohio performer from Massillon, was recruited by Holtmann and previously had committed to him at Butler.
