Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter explained on Monday that the decision to have midfielder Wil Trapp remain in Columbus this week – instead of joining U.S. Under-21 National Team camp – was a joint decision between Trapp, the Crew and U.S. Soccer over the weekend.  The 21-year-old midfielder picked-up a small knock in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against D.C. Before last night, many thought the best home game in Blue Jackets history was one that the team didn’t win.   A 6-5 loss to the Detroit Red Wings in 2009 in the Jackets’ last playoff game at Nationwide Arena holds that distinction for many. Last night, 19,148 fans had another boisterous party at Nationwide, and the Jackets also lost, this time 4-3 to the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was fun, but it wasn’t the same.
