Ohio State's national title hopes? Dashed. Ohio State's defense? Gashed. The seemingly inevitable Florida State-Ohio State party in Pasadena? Crashed. Michigan State captured the Big Ten title with a 34-24 win.
For the Ohio State football team and its fans, the regular season came to a disappointing end -- to say the least. But the Buckeyes still will be going to a BCS bowl game and have a shot at a top-four finish. This year's BCS selection day should be void of much drama, because the five BCS games are basically already locked in.

INDIANAPOLIS — Winning had become so habitual for Ohio State’s football team, the Buckeyes had long forgotten the taste of defeat. OSU was reminded of its bitterness last night, and that taste will linger for the Buckeyes because of everything that Michigan State cost them.
Stars of the game: Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook, an Ohio native, threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns, torching the Ohio State pass defense. And running back Jeremy Langford put the upset away with a 23-yard touchdown run up the middle with 2:16 to play.
