Oklahoman — There couldn't have been a better time for Oklahoma State's final bye week.
It just happens to fall right after the game in which the injury bug nagged at the Cowboys the most this season.
The good news is that none of the injuries are believed to be serious. The better news is that everyone has the week to heal up before hosting Oklahoma Nov. 29.
Running back Kendall Hunter bruised his quadriceps, but co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer said he could have returned to the game if necessary.

Oklahoman — NEW YORK — ESPN will broadcast 15 Bowl Championship Series games from 2011 to 2014.The network and the BCS announced a new four-year contract Tuesday. ESPN outbid Fox, which is in the midst of a four-year deal to televise the games.The agreement covers the Fiesta, Orange and Sugar bowls each year and the BCS title game from 2011 to 2013.The Rose Bowl will continue to be televised on ESPN broadcast partner ABC through 2010 under a separate, previous contract.see more on NewsOK.com

Oklahoman — BOULDER, Colo. — As Oklahoma State players made their way to the locker room following their 30-17 victory over Oklahoma State, a "Beat O-U" chant cascaded down from the stands at Folsom Field where Cowboys fans were seated.
For more than 30 minutes from inside the locker room came sounds of a massive celebration.
Outside the locker room, after a fresh shower, the number nine kept coming from the lips of OSU players and coaches.
Ragged as the Cowboys' victory might have appeared to be in certain areas, there was relief and joy at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
