Match report: Arsenal 0, West Ham 1

Well, that was rather dire. Arsenal lost to West Ham 1-0 in a thoroughly disappointing game. The match started slowly—for a few minutes, the most interesting thing was the cloud of bubbles floating over Unai Emery’s technical box at kickoff. Neither club troubled the other’s goal much—Bernd Leno made a save, but it was a slow-rolling shot directly at him; it might have been more difficult for him to miss the ball than to stop it. Match report: Arsenal 1, Liverpool 5

Yikes. Arsenal struck first, and then everything went downhill in their 5-1 defeat to Liverpool. It was a promising if slightly odd lineup for the Gunners, but Arsenal—wearing black armbands in honor of their late former chairman Peter Hill-Wood—started the match on the back foot. Liverpool got off their marks quickly, giving Bernd Leno two scares inside of six minutes. They couldn’t quite finish the moves, though, and after finding their feet, Arsenal hit back at about the ten-minute mark. A shot inside the box from Alex Iwobi drew a save from Liverpool keeper Alisson, and soon...

Arsenal and Bernd Leno: Waiting to be convinced

Bernd Leno has been Arsenal’s starting goalkeeper for three months, taking Petr Cech’s place in late September. I am still waiting to be convinced. Arsenal: If you miss Szczesny, then shut up about Bernd Leno

Arsenal fans are already questioning Bernd Leno, and the tabloids are following suit. But isn’t this the same thing Wojciech Szczesny went through? Bernd Leno arrived at Arsenal in the summer. He walked into the starting job midway through the Watford match on September 9th. Three months later, people are asking if he is really the […] Arsenal: If you miss Szczesny, then shut up about Bernd Leno - Pain in the Arsenal - Pain in the Arsenal - An Arsenal Fan Site - FanSided
