Darron Gibson signs new Everton contract

Ireland midfielder signed up until 2018 Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has signed a new contract at Goodison Park through to the summer of 2018. The 28-year-old has made 68 appearances in all competitions for Everton since joining from Manchester Utd for around £250,000 in January 2012. However, Gibson has been dogged by injury in recent seasons and has made just 27 appearances for the Toffees over the past three years. Thirteen of those came during a difficult campaign last time out for Gibson, was also handed a 20-month driving ban in September for hitting a cyclist while drink-driving...
