SOUTHEND United have taken former Stoke City strike Mama Sidibe on trial. Sidibe came on as a substitute for the League Two side in their 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town in a development team friendly yesterday. Shrimpers boss Phil Brown says he will now be running the rule over the 34-year-old in training before making a decision on his future.
