After 11 years at Arsenal, the time to move on could be coming for Theo Walcott as he’s reportedly a target for former club Southampton. Arsene Wenger set to wield Arsenal axe, bit-part ace to be sold in January

Arsenal are reportedly looking to sell Theo Walcott in January as Arsene Wenger looks to trim his squad and offload some bit-part players. The 28-year-old has been with Arsenal since 2005, but has only been able to register a goal tally of 20 or more in one season in 2012/13. He came close again last year […] The post Arsene Wenger set to wield Arsenal axe, bit-part ace to be sold in January appeared first on CaughtOffside.

Match Report: Arsenal 4 - BATE Borisov 2

A young Arsenal side wins a wild one in Belarus. That was a match you’d never see from Arsenal in the Champions League. It wasn’t the best played, but man was it fun to watch. The chances came so quickly for both sides that I barely had time to sit down between them. All told, a youth-filled Arsenal side won three points on the road. It’s a great result, and the Gunners have got one foot into the Europa League knockout stages. Arsenal got off to a dream start when Theo Walcott nodded home a Jack Wilshere cross. It was a typical Arsenal goal – Wilshere and Olivier Giroud...

Arsenal vs. BATE Borisov 2017 online streaming: start time, TV schedule and how to watch Europa League online

The Gunners head to Belarus. A short distance west of a Russian-frequented military training ground, Arsenal take on BATE Borisov in their second Europa League group stage match. The Gunners have left a large portion of their starting XI behind, to ensure that they are rested for Brighton on Sunday, and they’ll be counting on Per Mertesacker, Olivier Giroud, and Theo Walcott (and possibly Alexis Sánchez) to lead the team. If Giroud scores, it will be his 100th goal in an Arsenal shirt. We are also likely to see Reiss Nelson and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, both of whom played in Arsenal’s...

Alexis, Özil out of Arsenal squad

The first team has mostly been left behind As promised, Arsène Wenger has named a young squad ahead of matchday 2 in the UEFA Europa League. With Arsenal having an away trip against BATE Borisov, in Belarus, followed by a Premier League match 60 hours later, a majority of the players involved from the start against West Bromwich Albion on Monday have been left behind. Per Mertesacker, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Shkodran Mustafi and Olivier Giroud highlight the senior players involved, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson seem set to start again. With Alex Iwobi injured, there...

Match Report: Arsenal 1 - Doncaster 0

It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win Meh. That about sums up my feelings on an uninspiring 1-0 win from Arsenal. You’d think that with that kind of scoreline, the Doncaster keeper was magnificent. Apart from forcing a fantastic 1-on-1 save on Theo Walcott, Arsenal did not test him as much as they should have. Also not great — Doncaster had the chances to take the match to extra time, they just couldn’t convert. The Gunners fielded a youth-filled team that saw Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson get the start, Josh Dasilva play the entire second half, and Joe Willock come on...
