Where there's smoke: Walcott offered Liverpool contract?

Unsourced rumors say Walcott has been offered a chance to change jobs. It seems like sometimes, outside the Alexis/Özil realm, there is not much that Arsenal fans agree on these days as far as player evaluations go. Giroud’s great! No, he’s just average! Coquelin’s fantastic! No, he’s mostly just a warm body! That sort of thing. The one thing a lot of Arsenal fans agree on, though, is the frustrating case of Theo Walcott. He’s been at Arsenal for ten years now, after starting his senior career at Southampton, and almost every one of those ten years has been prefaced with “will...

Rumor Mongering: Walcott to Liverpool; and We Have a Bingo

Fear not, Reds, if you were worried that the Transfer Committee (TM) was not considering perennial target Theo Walcott, Liverpool are putting together a £120,000 per week wage packet for the Arsenal striker. The Telegraph reported that Walcott would no longer be competing for a first choice...

Theo Walcott could remain at Arsenal next season after all

However, it's unlikely to be at his chosen and preferred position. Despite widespread assumptions by pretty much everyone that he'd be shown the door this summer, the Telegraph's Matt Law reports that Theo Walcott may remain at Arsenal for at least another year – though the experiment of allowing him to play at his preferred central striker position would likely be over. Walcott met with Arsène Wenger at the close of the season to discuss his future, and both agreed that competing for a place on the right wing would be best for player and club. According to Law, Walcott "now accepts he...
