Cook spent the first 10 years of his major-league career with the Rockies, including his All-Star season in 2008. "The Phillies were going to send me to Triple-A, but I was talking with my kids and they said, 'Why not pitch for the Rockies?' " Cook told the Denver Post. "That made a lot of sense to me, and we were able to work something out." Cook allowed seven earned runs in 18 2/3 innings with the Phillies this spring.

He's gone 13-29 with a 5.54 ERA over the last three seasons with Colorado and Boston.
