Poll Time: Best Shortstop in Blue Jays History

Aaron Hill won out ‘who was the second best second baseman in Blue Jays history poll. Let’s move on to shortstops. Alfredo Griffin: He played 8 seasons with the Jays. He was AL Rookie of the Year in 1979, for that .287/.333/.364 line, 21 steals and 16 times caught. This was back before we had the phrase empty batting average. His steal percentage would get worse, the next season he stole 18 and was caught 23 times. Today a manager would tie his laces together and say you aren’t allowed to try to steal anymore. He was also an All-Star, in 1984, when he put up a .241/.248/.298 line....
