Aaron Laffey not worth much attention

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Given the Dodgers' injury issues in the rotation, it's not far fetched to assume that Aaron Laffey could find himself starting before long. The Dodgers have three starters on the disabled list and another, Ted Lilly, set for an MRI. Laffey was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays, and he signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers Tuesday and will report to Triple-A Albuquerque. Laffey had a 7.11 ERA in 12 2/3 innings between the Mets and Blue Jays this season. Laffey will have to work his way to the majors before being worth a look in Fantasy, and even then he will likely be little more...

He will report to Triple-A Albuquerque.The left-hander was designated over the weekend by the Blue Jays but chose to become a free agent. CBSSports.com Fantasy — Blue Jays pitcher Aaron Laffey, who made a spot start in place of Josh Johnson, did not last long Friday night against the Yankees.Laffey, who made his third start of the season, surrendered two runs, two hits and walked five in 2 2/3 innings of work. He threw 55 pitches, 23 strikes and did not factor into the decision. Laffey will be ready to make another start Thursday at home against Boston if Johnson is not ready. CBSSports.com Fantasy — The Blue Jays designated pitcher Ramon Ortiz for assignment Tuesday in order to make room for Aaron Laffey, who was claimed earlier in the day, Sportsnet.ca reports.  Ortiz had made one appearance for Toronto and that came on April 17 against the White Sox. He allowed two earned runs on five hits and a walk over 3 1/3 innings with two strikeouts.
