So Far, De Aza Is 'Under The Radar' Leader

(AP Photo)Every year, the editors of FenwayNation honor a Red Sox player who flew "Under The Radar" during the year. Last year, the award went to Alex Wilson (who has since been dealt away) and in 2013 the honoree was Daniel Nava (who now languishes in the AAA wilderness). Since he arrived in Boston via an odd "trade" (since he was already DFA'd by the Orioles), De Aza has been a revelation. In 31 games, he's hitting .323 with 19 RBIs. He's got 3 HRs, 5 doubles,...

Appreciating Alejandro De Aza's Red Sox run

Alejandro De Aza is probably heading for some serious regression, but don't let that cloud your appreciation of what he's done. Over the last month or so, it’s undeniable that they have at least launched themselves back into the conversation. Sure, they still need mostly everything to go right from here on out, but it’s a much better position than...
