A’s closer Blake Treinen gets AL monthly honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A’s closer Blake Treinen was named the American League Reliever of the Month on Saturday after saving all 10 of his save opportunities in May. Treinen put up a 0.59 ERA in 15 1/3 innings and he struck out 19 and walked five in his 14 appearance. Opponents batted .151 against him. Overall, Treinen has a 0.99 ERA, third best among AL relievers, and his 13 saves are tied for fourth.
