The San Diego Padres announced yesterday that they had placed Brandon Morrow on the 15 day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation. Padres 3, Dodgers 1: Morrow, Amarista, Norris stop the sweep

Great pitching and a couple of home runs stopped the losing streak and kept the Padres above .500. The Padres ended their first real losing streak of the season, and they did it in classic Padres style: With great pitching and a little timely hitting. Brandon Morrow continues to excel, throwing a solid seven innings for the third time this season while picking up his first win. He struck out 4 and gave up just 5 hits and a walk. Game 20 Preview: 04/26 Padres vs. Dodgers

The Padres have one last chance, this afternoon, to prevent a sweep at the hands of the Dodgers and salvage a win in this three-game set. Brandon Morrow goes to the hill in the series finale, looking for success in his first ever outing against Los Angeles.
