Notebook: Brendan's back. Again.

TAMPA, Fla. -- It was about this time last spring that Brendan Ryan felt a twinge in his neck that was expected to set him down for just a couple of days. He wound up not playing in his first game until May 7 with what was termed a cervical spine injury. But this time, it's being called a mild strain of the left side of his back, suffered while he was lifting weights in a gym before leaving for spring training.
