Jose Bautista nets 18th career multi-HR game

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista had his 18th career multi-homer game in Sunday's 12-4 win over the Red Sox. Bautista's first home run was a solo shot off Ryan Dempster leading off the third inning and he added a two-run shot off Clayton Mortensen in the sixth. Bautista, who has nine homers, scored three times and walked once. Bautista is batting .295 (18 for 61) with five home runs, five doubles and 12 RBI in his last 18 games.

But it backfired when the Sox tried it a second time in the bottom of the ninth. Beltre lined an RBI single to right field off Sox reliever Clayton Mortensen, scoring Elvis Andrus for a 4-3 Rangers victory. For the first time this season, the Red Sox failed to win after scoring first, something they had done the previous 13 times. Mortensen retired the first two Rangers in the ninth.
