Mets Blog | ESPN New York — MIAMI -- David Wright is being held out of Monday's lineup, a day after experiencing "a real stiff neck" during Sunday's game at Citi Field, Terry Collins said. Wright said the issue arose during the first couple of innings of the series finale against the Phillies. It got progressively worse as the game went on. Wright said this is the first time in his career he has dealt with neck spasms that were this severe. Wright hoped he would wake up with improvement today, but the stiffness -- which is down the right side of his neck to his back -- worsened.
