Trevor Rosenthal could be the next Derek Lowe

Trevor Rosenthal will remain the Cardinals' closer so long as the team enters a season with a surplus of starters, but it is too early to pigeon-hole the 24-year-old as a reliever only. Derek Lowe made the transition from reliever to starter and Rosenthal could do the same. Trevor Rosenthal finishes off games with a fastball that reaches 100 miles per hour. Derek Lowe's fastball regularly sat at the same speed as a Rosenthal changeup. They do not appear to be players that make for an easy comparison.
