Only homers are hurting Dylan Bundy as Orioles starter rolls on

Whether he's been the stellar edition of himself that he was to start the season, the limited one who struggled in early May, or the more recent one who has regained his top-of-the-rotation form, Dylan Bundy has had home runs follow him at every turn this season. In Sunday's 10-4 win over the Marlins,...

Red Sox 2, Orioles 0: The pitching picks up a no-show for the offense

Red Sox 2, Orioles 0: The pitching picks up a no-show for the offense

The bats can thank Wright, Kelly, Hembree and the rest of the pitching staff for this one. This was not the prettiest baseball game of all time, at least if you enjoy offense. Both starting pitchers — Steven Wright for the Sox and Dylan Bundy for the O’s — were at their best in this game and neither lineup ever really threatened to do damage. It was a quick affair dominated by pitching and nobody scored until the twelfth inning. The Red Sox got the win, but the offense continuing to struggle is certainly something that needs to be reversed, though the solution isn’t clear. For the...

Bundy stellar again but Orioles fall to Red Sox, 2-0, on sac flies off Givens in 12th inning

With a second straight scoreless start and his third scoreless outing in his past six, Orioles starter Dylan Bundy showed in the 2-0, 12-inning loss to Boston that his starts are back to being appointment viewing.

Red Sox at Orioles lineup: Mookie Betts is back

And he has reclaimed the leadoff spot. The Red Sox (44-22) look to snap out of a short funk behind the return of Mookie Betts against the Orioles (19-45) — who are without Manny Machado —tonighy at Camden Yards (7:05 p.m., NESN). It’s Steven Wright (2-0, 1.57 ERA) vs. Dylan Bundy (4-7, 4.04 ERA). I’m at the playground, so you’ll have to find any further color elsewhere. One of the good swings just opened up! Lack of offense spoils another quality start from Wheeler

Lack of offense spoils another quality start from Wheeler

The Mets just cannot score right now. It was a battle of the one-time can’t miss prospects when Zack Wheeler and Dylan Bundy faced off in an afternoon game at Citi Field. It was a nail-biting, close game that eventually saw the Mets fall to the Orioles 1-0 in their sixth straight loss. Wheeler made his fourth straight start going at least six innings, and gave the Mets a really fine start to build off of. Only once did Wheeler allow more than one baserunner per inning, and Wheeler appears to have found ways around his two biggest knocks against him: his control and his...

Final Score: Orioles 1, Mets 0 — Another shut out? Shut up.

Run? What’s a run? The Mets lost sixth straight game this afternoon, dropping a nail-biter to the Orioles 1-0 at Citi Field. Despite continued quality starting pitching, the Mets just cannot put together a decent offensive approach as of late. Both Zack Wheeler and Dylan Bundy pitched well this afternoon, limiting their pitch counts and matching zeroes across their seven innings of work. Wheeler continues his surprisingly consistent run with one of his best outings of the year, limited the Orioles to three hits and one walk over seven strong innings of work, while striking out five....

Orioles scrap together run to back Dylan Bundy, beat Mets, 1-0, for two-game sweep

On the balance of this season, days when Orioles starter Dylan Bundy has been as good as he was Wednesday far outnumber the bad ones. The same cannot be said for the offense — especially when he pitches like this. Yet on a sleepy Wednesday afternoon in Queens, the Orioles scratched together a run...

Baltimore Orioles: David Hess Has Been Surprisingly Good

Baltimore Orioles pitcher David Hess has had his struggles, but he’s shown some flashes of brilliance during his time in the majors as well. Outside of Dylan Bundy and some flashes from Kevin Gausman, pitching for the Baltimore Orioles this year (like much of the season) has been difficult to watch. However, the addition of […] Baltimore Orioles: David Hess Has Been Surprisingly Good - The Baltimore Wire - The Baltimore Wire - A Baltimore Sports Site -Orioles, Ravens, Terrapins and More

Did we mention that Juan Soto is only 19? Soto and the Nationals go for three straight over the Orioles and 10-straight on the road... Juan Soto lined an 0-1 changeup from Dylan Bundy to right for his first hit of the night on Tuesday, sent a first-pitch fastball to center the second time up against the Orioles right-hander, and hit a first-pitch fastball to right in the sixth for his third hit in three at bats, so, not surprisingly, Baltimore’s manager, Buck Showalter, decided to walk Washington’s 19-year-old outfielder with a runner in scoring position at second and first base open in...

Bryce Harper crushed a first-pitch fastball from Dylan Bundy in the top of the first inning on Tuesday night, sending a no-doubter of a home run over the right field fence. “I know a lot of teams want to see a lot of pitches, but this day and age, if you get a pitch you can hit, try to hit it and hit it hard.” - Davey Martinez A reporter mentioned to Washington Nationals’ skipper Davey Martinez before the second of three in Baltimore’s Oriole Park at Camden...
