Nats Journal: D.C. native Emmanuel Burris joins Nationals for first time

PHILADELPHIA — When Emmanuel Burriss was a free agent after the 2013 season and looking for a new home after a season in the Reds organization and five with the Giants, he asked his agent to see whether the Nationals might be interested. Burriss grew up in Northwest D.C. and played his high school baseball at Wilson High School in Tenleytown.
