Washington Post — The Nationals will try to finish their first week out West with a winning record behind Dan Haren, who was excellent in a loss in Los Angeles. The Braves won yesterday, and so the Nationals enter the afternoon down by 1 games in the NL East. Gaslamp Ball — On Saturday Eric Stults and the Padres beat the Nationals in 2 hours and 1 minute. I went to see Star Trek Into Darkness instead, thinking I'd catch the end of the game after the movie. It was not to be. Huston Street had already Chekov'd another save by the time the 2 hour and 12 minute movie was over. The Padres game was the 3rd shortest game in Petco Park histor. Tonight's game was 2:01. CBSSports.com Fantasy — Padres starter Eric Stults was able to limit most of his damage in his outing against the Marlins Tuesday night. He allowed one run on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings in the 5-1 win.The left-hander made it through the first three frames unscathed before giving up an RBI double to Marcell Ozuna in the fourth.
