Frieri came on in the ninth with a 3-2 lead and was quickly able to get Adam Dunn to strike out swinging. The right-hander surrendered a one-out single to Dayan Viciedo but was able to retire the next two batters he faced to secure the win. Frieri has not allowed a run over his last five appearances and has racked up four saves and 11 strikeouts over that span.
