Franklin Gutierrez's one of a kind home run

Guti's game winning home run last night was extra special. Last night Franklin Gutierrez won the game for the Seattle Mariners' with a walk off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning. It was the 70th career home run for Guti, and also, a bit more interestingly, the first home run of his career he has hit with a 0-2 count. Your browser does not support iframes. Guti's home run was also the 69th time any Mariner player has ever hit a home run with a 0-2 count. Fifty different Mariners hit those 69 home runs, with Edgar Martinez leading the Mariners with five home runs on a 0-2 count. For...

Ten Years, One Pitch: Franklin Gutierrez redeems the Mariners and himself in 6-5 walk off over Blue Jays

Detroit Tigers blow late lead against Mariners to fall back below .500

Newly signed reliever Neftali Feliz gave up a grand slam to Franklin Gutierrez with two outs in the eighth inning as the Detroit Tigers fell back below .500 with a gut-punching loss. DETROIT -- If the Detroit Tigers want to avoid being sellers at the non-waiver trade deadline, they can't afford to lose games they should win. And this was a game they probably should've won. Newly signed reliever Neftali Feliz gave up a grand slam to Franklin Gutierrez with two outs in the eighth inning as the Detroit Tigers fell back below .500 following Tuesday's gut-punching...
