CBSSports.com Fantasy — White Sox backup catcher Hector Gimenez struck out three times on Wednesday during an 0-for-5 performance in Minnesota. Gimenez has struck out 10 times in nine games this season.  The backup to Tyler Flowers behind the plate for the White Sox has not shown anything with his bat to over 24 at-bats. He has one homer and four RBI.

Chicago White Sox Blog | ESPN Chicago — CHICAGO -- The little-used Chicago White Sox bench stirred the pot Friday, raising the energy and carrying the team to its first three-game win streak of the season. Hector Gimenez, Tyler Greene and Conor Gillaspie were insurance policies that paid big dividends Friday, with each hitting a home to rally the White Sox to a 5-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. Trailing 3-0 after starter Jake Peavy gave up two home runs, Gimenez’s first major-league shot got the White Sox to within a run in the fifth inning, while Greene hit a two-run blast later in the inning for the lead.

CBSSports.com Fantasy — White Sox catcher Hector Gimenez was available for Wednesday's game against the Indians, though he never entered the game with Tyler Flowers behind the plate.  Gimenez was said to be fine following sitting out Tuesday's game, MLB.com reported.  "He looks fine," manager Robin Ventura said Tuesday. "That's one of those that hurts at the time. He was going to get run for anyway. He wanted to stay in, but he's going to be fine."
