Jarrod Dyson lifts Royals to second straight win over Red Sox

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Maybe the Boston Red Sox are just what the Kansas City Royals needed to jumpstart their season. Jarrod Dyson is certainly hoping so. Dyson entered Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox locked in slump and his playing time diminished. But Dyson started the opener, scored the winning run and threw out a runner on the bases in the Royals’ 3-2 win at Kauffman Stadium. Dyson scored the game-winner on Lornezo Cain’s fly ball in the sixth, but it was his throw in the eighth inning that saved the game for the Royals. read more
