Royals' Dyson ready to fill role as needed

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jarrod Dyson isn’t one who wants to slow down, but there is a possibility Kansas City fans might not be seeing the speedy outfielder quite as much this season. Last year with Nori Aoki starting in right field, Dyson would often enter as a late-game defensive replacement, and Lorenzo Cain would shift from center to right, and Dyson would take over in center. But with the addition of Alex Rios in right this year, Dyson’s late-game defensive role could evaporate, which could reduce his role to pinch-running in the late going. read more
