White Sox, Tim Anderson discussing extension

The 23-year old could be closing in a multi-year deal with Chicago. The White Sox are discussing a multi-year contract extension with shortstop Tim Anderson, according to MLB.com’s Scott Merkin. It’s unclear if the sides are close to a deal. Anderson, 23, broke into the majors last season, hitting a solid .283/.306/.432 with nine homers in 99 games for the ChiSox after taking over for veteran Jimmy Rollins.
