The White Sox Triple-A club will have quite the packed outfield to start the season. Jared Mitchell, Blake Tekotte and Jordan Danks are all legitimate center fielders. I'd expect Mitchell and Tekotte to get the most time, as Danks is beginning to look like he's going to get the dreaded AAAA tag. Mitchell (still) needs to cut the strikeouts and Tekotte needs to rebuild his swing. The infield is less crowded, with Carlos Sanchez the only prospect to watch. With Alex Rios and Alejandro De Aza returning to the White Sox from World Baseball Classic action, the White Sox took away two outfielders from the bottom of the depth chart. After Thursday's sound 8-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, Jordan Danks and Blake Tekotte were optioned to Charlotte. Last year, Jordan Danks might have snapped one of the more cruel streaks in recent White Sox history. He reported to camp having added 15 pounds of muscle, and he went on to have a personal-best season, conquering Triple-A pitching and reaching the majors, where he stayed on the 25-man roster for months. Up until Danks, the last seven players involved in offseason "pounds of muscle" stories experienced setbacks of significant degrees over the ensuing season.
