Jose Molina battles through injury

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Rays catcher Jose Molina went 2 for 4 with a run scored Wednesday against the Blue Jays in his return to the starting lineup. Molina missed three starts with a hamstring injury. He scored the team's second run in a 4-3, 10-inning loss.  Molina has multiple hits in three of his last four games to raise his batting average to .235.

Jeremy Hellickson was struggling with command - and specifically the curve - right out the gate. It was a slow start to the first inning made especially painful by a generous strikezone. CBSSports.com Fantasy — Rays manager Joe Maddon updated the status of catcher Jose Molina Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports. Maddon said that Molina was feeling better, but his left hamstring may keep him out until Friday.  Molina has missed the last two games with his hamstring injury and has been replaced by Jose Lobaton behind the plate. Molina is hitting .221/.265/.325 in 77 at-bats.

Jose Molina's bat wakes up

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Rays catcher Jose Molina had a good game at the plate on Tuesday during a 5-3 win over Boston. Molina drove in two runs.  The backstop went 3 for 3 with a double. He smacked a two-run single to center in the fourth inning and later scored in the frame.  The three hits improved his average to .194. Molina had not recorded a hit in his previous seven games and was 0 for 22 over that stretch.
