J.P. Arencibia behind plate on opening night

CBSSports.com Fantasy — The Blue Jays will start J.P. Arencibia behind the dish on opening night, says manager John Gibbons, the National Post reports Monday.  The Jays optioned Josh Thole on Sunday and CBS Sports Baseball Insider Jon Heyman says Mike Nickeas won't make the team. Gibbons will have Arencibia and Henry Blanco handle the pitching staff, including R.A. Dickey all season. CBSSports.com Fantasy — The Blue Jays have optioned catcher Josh Thole to Triple-A Buffalo Sunday. Thole was once believed to have been the favorite for the backup position in order to serve as R.A. Dickey's personal catcher this season. He produced a mediocre .171/.237/.286 slash line this spring.
