Late rally shows off Sox's capabilities

Chicago White Sox Blog | ESPN Chicago — BOSTON -- If the White Sox are going to go down, they won’t be going easy. On a day of blown opportunities, the White Sox fashioned one last rally in the ninth inning, using all of their creative might. They scored twice to tie the score on two separate bloopers to center field that fell just out of the reach of Red Sox center fielder Ryan Kalish. Then they won it, 7-5, with a pair of bases-loaded walks to Gordon Beckham and Juan Pierre. Festive night for Jackson, Pierre in Sox's 8-0 win

White Sox Blog | Chicago Breaking SportsJuan Pierre is congratulated after scoring in the 4th. (Chris Sweda / Tribune) By Mark GonzalesEdwin Jackson stood calmly in front of his locker, almost as if he was surprised by all the attention. That typified the smooth transition Jackson has made since coming to the White Sox from Arizona in a July 30 trade. Jackson improved to 2-0 with an 0.96 ERA in his four starts with the Sox following an 8-0 victory over Baltimore. SOX IN BRIEF: Hudson gives friend Pierre a trash course

Chicago Sun-Times — MINNEAPOLIS -- To an outsider, it would seem that Minnesota Twins second baseman Orlando Hudson and White Sox outfielder Juan Pierre are one more trash-talking session away from trading blows. Hudson even gave Pierre a shove at second base the other night, leaving the impression that a fuse already was lit. Far from it.
