Jordan Zimmermann signs with not-Giants

The Giants are down an option if they want to explore the upper end of the pitching market. Don't panic. There's no need to ... listen, put that down. Stop screaming. Let go of the cat. Throughout his whole career, he'd been a decent pitcher in an extreme hitter's park, so it stood to reason that moving to San Francisco, which...

Giants’ Lincecum, Leake among new free agents

The final out of the World Series on Sunday night triggered the start of the Hot Stove season, with seven Giants and two A's among 139 major-leaguers who automatically became declared free agents Monday. Full free agency begins at 9 p.m PST on Friday night. Giants general manager Bobby Evans has said he believes Leake will test the market, but the Giants did pull off surprising deals with outfielder Hunter Pence and Lincecum in 2012 to keep...
