MASN Sports — Now that it's over, thanks to Nate McLouth and his walk-off 10th-inning heroics, I feel comfortable stating the less-than-obvious: Thank goodness for that six-game losing streak. Perhaps that sounds odd at best, a little stupid at worst. It should. But...

Nate McLouth's walk-off homer against Yankees snaps Orioles' skid

Rapid Reaction: Orioles 3, Yankees 2 (10)

Yankees Blog | ESPN New York — WHAT IT MEANS: Phil Hughes bounced back, but the Vidal Nuno magic ended, at least for night. BUCK-LE UP: The third pitch Nuno threw to Nate McLouth, McLouth drilled for the game-winning homer. It was remnants of the 2012 magic for Buck Showalter's team. THAT WAS BETTER: After going just two-thirds of an inning his last time out, Hughes went six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, including two solo homers. He struck out five and walked two.
