Mariners sign lefty reliever Rafael Perez to a minor league contract

The Mariners have made another minor signing going into spring training, inking left-handed reliever Rafael Perez to a minor league contract with an invitation to major league spring training. He had vagabond 2014 season, appearing  in 24 games (16 starts) with Class AAA Round Rock, then had stops in Rojos del Aguila de Veracruz (Mexican League) and Class AAA Indianapolis. In those 16 starts, he went 6-6, 2.97 ERA.  In eight relief appearances, he posted an 0-1 record with a 2.19 ERA. Perez also pitched for Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican Winter League posting a 2.31 ERA in 15 games...
