Entering this season, a certain uneasiness hung over the Nationals’ bullpen. How would the Nationals replace Tyler Clippard, who locked down the eighth inning for years and faced left-handers without issue? In fact, how would they replace the nearly 200 innings provided by Rafael Soriano, Ross Detwiler and Clippard last season? Cody Ross officially signs with Oakland A's

The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with outfielder Cody Ross, the team announced, after he was officially granted his release by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team will announce corresponding roster moves later today, which could be to transfer Jarrod Parker to the 60-day disabled list to clear space on the 40-man roster, and will likely be to option Billy Burns to the Triple-A Nashville Sounds.
