CBSSports.com Fantasy — Angels reliever Ryan Madson experienced some pain during a throwing session Monday, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Madson threw from 120 feet, but had some discomfort when he tried throwing at 80 percent. Madson had a platelet-rich plasma injection in his elbow a few weeks ago, and he believes that the shot will take full effect next week. He believes the pain he felt Monday was a side effect of his injection. CBSSports.com Fantasy — Angels reliever Ryan Madson, on the disabled list since the beginning of the year as he's working back from Tommy John surgery, is expected to pitch for Triple-A Salt Lake "early this week," according to Angels manager Mike Scioscia, MLB.com reports.  Madson is expected to rehab at Triple-A for several weeks once he makes his first appearance. Ryan Madson to rehab in Triple-A for 'several weeks'

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Angels reliever Ryan Madson had hoped to be activated from the disabled list soon, but he will report to Triple-A Salt Lake Thursday, and his stay there will last "several weeks," Madson told reporters Wednesday. Madson feels good, but the teams wants to slow down his pace, the Los Angeles Times reports. Madson understands the decision, but feels he "can pitch here today and get people out," MLB.com reports. The Angels are treading lightly with Madson, who is nearing a return from Tommy John surgery that sidelined him for all of 2012.
