L.A. hits four homers off Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong -- three in the first inning.

Home run barrage costs Vogelsong, Giants at Dodger Stadium

Running game story... LOS ANGELES – It could be worse for Ryan Vogelsong. He has his health, relatively speaking. The next most important thing is opportunity. That part is inconclusive at best. Vogelsong gave up four home runs to the… Continue Reading →

Giants' Ryan Vogelsong might move to second spot in rotation

The San Francisco Giants are considering moving Ryan Vogelsong to the second spot in the rotation as Jake Peavy continues working on his problems

SF Giants might have Vogelsong start for Peavy

Giants general manager Bobby Evans just said on MLB Network radio that the club could have Ryan Vogelsong pitch in place of a struggling Jake Peavy in the second game of the season in Arizona on Tuesday. The idea is to give Peavy more time to prepare his arm. Peavy would then pitch in San Diego, a friendlier park for pitchers, as a sixth starter for this first time through the rotation. Peavy said late in spring he was dealing with “dead arm.” He did not look good in his final start there, or in his game at AT&T Park on Thursday night. Vogelsong has been stretched out long enough
