Twins sign LHP Sean Burnett to minor league deal

One fan's reaction: "Oh, okay." Yesterday, May 23rd, the Twins and Sean Burnett agreed to terms on a minor league contract, per Darren Wolfson at 1500 ESPN. The deal includes a June 15 opt-out date and incentives if Burnett pitches in the majors for the Twins. Burnett is coming off of Tommy John surgery in 2014, which is the last time he pitched in the majors. Before that he had a different elbow surgery to repair a ligament in 2013 where he missed most of that season too.
