LUCIE, Fla. -- Tim Byrdak, who had been home in Chicago throwing on flat ground four times a week, joined camp Friday morning ready to ramp up activity. Byrdak, who underwent surgery in August to repair a torn anterior capsule in his pitching shoulder, said his goal remains to get on a mound before teammates break camp for the April 1 season opener. "If I could get off the mound by the end of spring training, like I said before, great," Byrdak said.
