CBSSports.com Fantasy — Orioles reliever Tommy Hunter (hand) is available out of the bullpen for Tuesday's game in Washington, MLB.com reports. Hunter barehanded a comebacker to retire Jose Bautista two days ago against Toronto, but no damage was detected after two X-rays.  "They explained it to me: in one I was driving a not-so-cool car, and one of them I was driving a really cool car, they're both going to get you to the ending line, but it's just a matter of what kind of style you're riding in," Hunter said. Hunter took a ball off his upper palm trying to field a comebacker from Toronto's Jose Bautista in the eighth inning of Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays. He had his hand wrapped in a tensor bandage following the game."It was crushed," said Hunter. "Sometimes you play a little shift on him, but on a ball up the middle. I just wasn't able to get my glove there fast enough."

Tommy Hunter pitching well out of bullpen

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Orioles pitcher Tommy Hunter has been outstanding in relief since allowing three home runs in his first 3 2/3 innings pitched this season, MASNSports.com reports.  Hunter earned the victory in Saturday's game in Anaheim. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning and hasn't allowed a run in his last seven outings since April 10 at Boston.  Hunter has given up just three runs and 11 hits over 14 2/3 innings this season with three walks and 10 strikeouts. His fastball routinely hits 97-98 and he's topped out at 100 mph this year. His ERA is 1.84.

He came on for starter Wei-Yin Chen in the seventh and worked three scoreless innings. The right-hander allowed three hits and struck out two while walking one in the 6-1 win.
