Robbie Keane nominated for Week 19 Goal of the Week

Last week Gyasi Zardes was nominated for Goal of the Week, and this week his partner in crime Robbie Keane has been nominated for the honor thanks to the opener he smashed into the net against New England. That ridiculous curler past Bobby Shuttleworth is up against some other great goals including similar rockets from distance by Benny Feilhaber and Diego Valeri.

This just in from the league: Sporting Kansas City midfielder Benny Feilhaber was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 19 of the 2014 MLS season. Feilhaber scored two goals and had one assist while helping Sporting KC to a pair of 2-1 victories in Week 19. In a mid-week fixture against the Columbus Crew, Sporting Kansas City forward C.J. Sporting Kansas City outplayed the Galaxy in the first half, which was enough to pull out a win as they tallied a 2-1 victory.
