Jerry Bengtson is No Longer a Designated Player

Jerry Bengtson will no longer take up a Designated Player spot for the New England Revolution. Jerry Bengtson is no longer a Designated Player, according to an updated list provided by the league last week. Bengtson signed with the New England Revolution on July 5, 2012. The move required the Revs to pay Honduras’ CD Motagua a transfer fee, which led to the striker being labeled as a Designated Player.
