Seizing the Moment: Kei Kamara Joins Elite Company with Goal 20

In his first season of his second stint with Crew SC, Kamara has done what few have done before him. When Columbus Crew SC announced the signing of Kei Kamara, the club knew it was getting a good player who would help them score goals in 2015, but no one expected this good. Kamara has slotted into the Black & Gold lineup and scored 20 goals in 28 games. He is in rare company, becoming just the 16th player in Major League Soccer history to reach the 20-goal mark in one season. He also became the second Crew SC player to score that many goals in a season after Stern John scored 26 in...

Columbus Crew SC beat the Philadelphia United 2-1

Kamara's 19th and 20th goals are enough for three points. Columbus Crew SC needed to settle after their lopsided loss last Sunday and the Philadelphia Union provided the perfect tonic. Kei Kamara recorded a brace while Crew SC seized their opportunities in the first half while holding on in the second 45 to get a 2-1 win. Columbus would have loved nothing better than to get off to a fast start and they got their wish as they looked like the more dangerous side in the opening minutes as the visitors looked like the team in playoff position. They controlled the ball and created chances. It...

Soccer | Crew 2, Union 1: Kamara has two goals in return from national play

adcelannotate = {"mobilepaywallcategory" : "MOBILE_PREM-SPORTS","nativepaywallcategory" : "NATIVE_PREM-SPORTS"};Kei Kamara’s return from international duty earlier this week hit an unexpected snag somewhere in the skies above Amsterdam. A bird met an engine and sent his homeward flight back to the Netherlands, forcing an emergency diversion and delaying his arrival from Nigeria by another day. Last night at PPL Park against Philadelphia, there was no stopping the Crew SC forward.

Afful: Crew 2-1 Union

Kei Kamara's brace sunk the Union. For the second season in a row, the Columbus Crew put a nail in the coffin containing the Philadelphia Union's playoff aspirations. Two goals from Kei Kamara were enough to survive a late Union surge and take the season series from the Union. Both sides had chances early. Sebastien Le Toux couldn't catch up to CJ Sapong's through ball in the 9th minute, as Steve Clark rushed out to claim it. A few minutes later, Kei Kamara flew approximately 16 feet into the air for a header that went just wide. In the 22nd minute, Kamara rectified his earlier mistake....

Kamara's 5-minute brace lifts Crew SC over Union
