The United States avoided the toughest possible pairing in the fourth round of CONCACAF's 2018 World Cup qualifying, but they could end up in a Seattle Sounders-heavy group it was revealed on Saturday during the preliminary draw. Details emerge from Marco Pappa's DUI arrest

Marco Pappa was pulled over around 8 a.m. last Sunday on I-5 near downtown Seattle after being clocked driving 84 mph, according to an arrest report obtained by the Seattle Times. Pappa apparently failed a field sobriety test, was taken into custody around 8:30 a.m. and eventually took two blood-alcohol-screenings where he tested .174 and .166. Washington's legal limit is .08, meaning Pappa's BAC was more than twice that. Sounders to be without Pappa pending arrest investigation

NEW YORK (AP) — The Seattle Sounders will be without midfielder Marco Pappa while Major League Soccer investigates his recent arrest for speeding and driving under the influence. Pappa, arrested early Sunday, will be evaluated by the MLS' substance abuse doctors as per the league's policy, and will not be allowed to participate in games until the investigation is completed and he is cleared to play.
