Marco Pappa named to Guatemala roster for upcoming friendlies

Sounders will be missing three players due to international duty a week after having a bye. The Seattle Sounders will be a bit short-handed when they return to league action against first-place FC Dallas on March 28. Marco Pappa (Guatemala) became the third Sounders player to be called in for the upcoming international date, joining Clint Dempsey (United States) and Micheal Azira (Uganda) to join their respective national teams for the March 23-31 window. The good news, at least, is that Pappa won't have to leave the United States. Guatemala plays Canada in a closed-door friendly in Florida...

Clint Dempsey converted his own penalty early and Obafemi Martins headed in the second goal. But Deuce, Oba, and Marco Pappa saved the best goal for last in the 3-0 win over New England. The Seattle Sounders FC put on as complete of a performance as we come to expect in their 3-0 rout of the New England Revolution.
