Michael Gspurning in talks with NYCFC, but Sounders still control MLS rights

Michael Gspurning left the Seattle Sounders as one of the top statistical goalkeepers in MLS history. It looks like he may be returning to the league, but not necessarily to the Sounders. After making just one league appearance with Greece's PAOK, Gspurning again finds himself out of contract. The 33-year-old has confirmed that New York City FC is among the teams that have contacted him.
