Scouting Report: Nathan Sturgis

What's the scuttlebutt on the newest Goat? Nathan Sturgis made his Chivas USA debut on Wednesday, coming off the bench in the Goats' 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes. Still, 22 minutes isn't a ton of time to get a full picture of a new player, and so we spoke with Chris White of SB Nation Colorado Rapids blog Burgundy Wave about Sturgis' run in the Rockies. The path to a well-traveled career in MLS runs through Chivas USA

Want to really see all of MLS? You have to make a stop with the Goats at some point. On Tuesday, Chivas USA acquired midfielder Nathan Sturgis via trade. Nathan Sturgis Traded For Carlos Alvarez

A young, attacking midfield talent came from Chivas USA to the Rapids on Tuesday. Pablo Mastroeni is apparently okay with the Rapids' current defensive midfield situation. Despite Jose Mari going to the injury list for about a month, the Rapids traded Nathan Sturgis to Chivas USA for Carlos Alvarez on Tuesday afternoon after several hours of speculation about a trade first reported by Chris Bianchi. Alvarez is a young talent best known for being the guy that Chelis 'called his shot' for going into the 2013 draft. The second overall pick that year, Alvarez scored two goals and put up three...
