The math in Andray Blatche's future

NetsDaily — What are the chances the Nets hang on to Andray Blatche? As they say, it's complicated. Word that Bojan Bogdanovic will probably command the mini-MLE means the Nets options are limited. On the other hand, Blatche has said all the right things and thanks to the generosity of the Washington Wizards ownership, Blatche still has amnesty payments of $16.2 million to fall back on the next two years. Here's a primer. We've reported on the issue before but now Blatche's contract situation is in the news again, we've updated it a bit. First of all, Blatche and others in his situation are makin...

Blatche wants to stay in Brooklyn

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Nets center Andray Blatche said he will like to stay in Brooklyn next season, the New York Post reports. Blatche, who is slated to be an unrestricted free agent over the summer, said he would be willing to take less money to remain with the team if the situation looked like a good fit for him in Brooklyn. “Yeah, I thought about that idea. I like it here, I got my second chance here and I’m loyal to being here. We just have to see what happens,’’ he said. “With the money situation, that makes it easier for me to stay here. I don’t have to take nothing huge. I can take less. It’s going to be bas...

Andray Blatche looking like he'll be back in Brooklyn Nets uniform

NetsDaily — This past season was Andray Blatche's best in the NBA. It was not his statistically most productive. His 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 19 minutes --numbers he matched in the playoffs-- were not as good as those he put up in 2009-10 or 2010-11. But he was more efficient, in fact finishing 14th league wide in Player Efficiency Ratings, the highest for any bench player. More importantly, he contributed to a playoff team and of course redeemed his career. And the Nets got all of that for the vets minimum. Every player ranked ahead of him in PER made $10 million or more. (Those who want...

Nets' Blatche may latch back on

New York Post — After the Nets’ ignominious Game 7 loss, they have to address their power forward situation for next season. The answer might be under their noses in backup center Andray Blatche, a free-agent-to-be. The Nets will not have salary-cap space and do not own Blatche’s Bird Rights. But the enigmatic...

Blatche wants to stay in Brooklyn

Nets Blog | ESPN New York — EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Backup center Andray Blatche, now an unrestricted free agent, would like to stay with the Brooklyn Nets. “That’s the plan. I’m not sure yet right now,” Blatche said Sunday. “I can’t tell you 100 percent yet. But that’s the plan for me.” Blatche, 26, whom the Washington Wizards exercised their amnesty rights on his contract after seven tumultuous seasons there, was given a second chance by the Nets, who signed him to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract for the league minimum.

Blatche big again off bench

Nets Blog | ESPN New York — CHICAGO – The Brooklyn Nets’ Andray Blatche was standing tall, both literally and figuratively, by the end of a season-saving victory Thursday night. Hardly the first option of the Nets’ offense, especially down the stretch, Blatche was every bit as big as his 6-foot-11 frame, scoring five points in the final 1:15 to get his team to a deciding Game 7 against the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals. Blatche wasn’t alone in his contributions from the Nets’ bench, as former Bull C.
