Jamison's surgery a success

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Lakers forward Antawn Jamison underwent successful surgery on his injured right wrist Tuesday morning, ESPN reports. Jamison, who sprained his right wrist back on March 23, averaged 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds over 76 games -- six starts -- for the Lakers this year.

Jamison soliders on through wrist injury

"But as long as we win and get in the playoffs, that's all that matters." Jamison is among the Los Angeles Lakers walking wounded. He suffered a slight tear in his right shooting wrist March 22 against the Washington Wizards but has been playing through the pain ever since. You wouldn't know it from his performances in the five games since.

Jamison re-aggravated his lingering wrist injury Wednesday against the Timberwolves, but is expected to play Thursday against the Bucks in spite of that. Jamison will likely need offseason surgery to repair a torn ligament in the wrist.
