Bradley Beal named to All-Rookie First Team

Bullets Forever — No surprise: Bradley Beal made First Team All-Rookie. The Wizards' shooting guard joins Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Dion Waiters and Harrison Barnes on the squad. Andre Drummond, Jonas Valanciunas, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kyle Singler and Tyler Zeller are on the second team. Twenty-eight coaches put Beal on the first team. One had him on the second team. Lillard was the only unanimous first-team selection. And now, for amusement's sake, here's a look at the number of points each rookie in the first round earned in the voting. First-teamers are bolded. Those shut out are italicized. Anthon...

I'm sure I'm not the only Hornets fan that has been watching the Golden State - San Antonio series and been amused by Jarrett Jack isoing in final shot situations. Zach Lowe has a great piece about how David Lee's absence has completely changed the way that the Warriors offense operates. Jimmy Smith thinks it's doubtful that the Hornet...

Davis' future looking bright

CBSSports.com Fantasy — Despite having to deal with numerous minor injuries, Pelicans forward Anthony Davis turned in a very productive rookie campaign. Davis appeared in 64 games for New Orleans, but had his season prematurely ended after spraining his left MCL. He also admitted that he was starting to wear down toward the end of the year. "It wears down your body a lot," Davis told the Times-Picayune. "You've got to take care of your body. There is a lot of wear and tear, over 82 games, especially at my position. My biggest focus is wanting to get stronger."

Season in Review: Anthony Davis

At The Hive — My emotional, teary eyed recount of Anthony Davis' season: We've talked a lot in 2013 about Anthony Davis' surprisingly effective offensive ability. Once billed as a defensive stalwart and an offensive project, AD has surpassed all expectations (even the most optimistic ones) with regards to his offensive ability. He's shown pretty varied ball screen action attack -- a player who's very adept at being the roll man or the pop man (whichever option is most viable). He's also shown the ability to make the extra pass to the weakside off a ball screen (the pass that San Antonio and Tim Dunc...
